Welcome to Trek N Explore. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Account Registration
- You must provide a valid phone number to create an account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
- You must provide accurate profile information (display name and username).
- You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Trek N Explore responsibly. You may NOT:
- Send harassing, threatening, abusive, or hateful messages to other users.
- Post content that is illegal, violent, sexually explicit, or promotes harm.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Use the App for any commercial spam, advertising, or solicitation without authorization.
- Abuse the SOS Emergency Alert feature (false alerts).
- Attempt to access other users' private data or accounts.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the App.
- Stalk, track, or otherwise use location features to endanger other users.
3. User-Generated Content
- You retain ownership of content you create (messages, posts, photos).
- By posting content on Trek N Explore, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and store your content within the App for the purpose of providing our services.
- You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse user-generated content.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
- Public Chat messages are automatically deleted after 1 hour.
4. Location Services
- Core features of the App require access to your device's location.
- You consent to the collection and sharing of your location with other users as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You can control location sharing and radar visibility through the App's settings.
- Background location tracking is optional and must be explicitly enabled by you.
5. SOS Emergency Feature
- The SOS feature is designed for genuine emergencies and safety situations.
- Misuse of the SOS feature (false alerts) is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or termination.
- Trek N Explore is NOT a substitute for emergency services. In life-threatening situations, always call your local emergency number (112, 911, etc.) first.
- We do not guarantee response times from nearby users when an SOS is triggered.
6. Marketplace
- Trek N Explore provides a marketplace for users to buy, sell, or trade goods and services.
- We are not a party to any transaction between users. All transactions are between the buyer and seller.
- We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed.
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding sales and purchases.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service.
- Receive multiple reports from other users for inappropriate behavior.
- Abuse the SOS Emergency feature.
- Engage in activity that threatens the safety of other users.
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data from our servers. See our Data Deletion page for more information.
8. Intellectual Property
- The Trek N Explore brand, logo, design, and code are the property of Trek N Explore and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.
- Feedback and suggestions you provide may be used by us to improve the App without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- The results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable.
- The AI Trip Planner will provide accurate or safe travel recommendations.
- Other users will be trustworthy, honest, or safe to meet in person.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TREK N EXPLORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Any loss or damage arising from your interactions with other users.
- Any injury or harm resulting from in-person meetings facilitated through the App.
- Any loss of data or content.
- Any damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated trip plans or recommendations.
11. Safety Disclaimer
When meeting other users in person:
- Always meet in public places for the first time.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave.
- Trek N Explore is not responsible for the conduct of its users.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
